Please join me in offering a hearty congratulations to one of this site’s earliest supporters and dearest friends, Asm. Jay Webber (R-Morris), who is now among the newest Rodel fellows at the prestigious Aspen Institute.
You can learn more about the program here. The important thing to know is that you don’t get an invite for this program unless you’re a definite “person to watch” in American politics at the state level. According to the program’s director: “Fellows are selected based on their reputations for intelligence, thoughtfulness, and a willingness to work across party lines to seek solutions to public problems.”
We’re glad for Jay but not surprised. For as long as there’s been a Save Jersey, your Blogger-in-Chief & Co. have boosted Jay Webber shamelessly for the last 3 1/2 years. He’s a morally decent, intelligent, articulate, and solidly conservative advocate for pro-taxpayer reform. The women think he’s pretty good looking too which, let’s face it, never hurts in this business.
It’s only a matter of time before you’re voting for him now matter where you live in the state, Save Jerseyans! You literally heard it here first (back in 2008).
