Christie Makes It Rain in Monmouth: Draws 600+ for Kyrillos Kickoff Fundraiser

The Governor turned’em out in force for U.S. Senate candidate Joe Kyrillos last night at Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center.

More than one source reported a capacity crowd of at least six hundred attendees. Not too shabby for a Monday night in March! When the Governor says he’s in, then he’s really in 100%.

General admission “cocktail” tickets were $250 per person, so it’s reasonable to assume that the campaign took in at least $150,000 (before expenses). I suspect much more when all is said and done, Save Jerseyans; there are usually multiple tiers at these events, and there’s always someone who is feeling a little extra generous after a few (or several) gin and tonics and a one-on-one photo with the Big Guy himself.

Let’s hope plenty of Cosmo-stained checks got cut; Senator Kyrillos will need every nickel in the coming battle with Bob Menendez.

Kudos to our many Facebook friends for posting cell phone camera shots; here’s two of the best ones:
