A new Kean University poll of 1,000 New Jersey women shows Governor Christie with a 57% approval rating which, if you can believe it, includes 46% of Democrat women. That’s only 2-points worse than Obama.
Many pundits are shocked over it! But they shouldn’t be.
Women historically love the “strong, silent type.” Now, our Governor sure isn’t “silent” in any sense of the word, but he’s certainly projecting the sense that SOMEONE has the Trenton beast by its tail after over a decade of gross mismanagement. Is it indicative of strength? Most definitely. And plenty of folks find it attractive.
Naturally some liberals will still choose to disbelieve these poll results solely on the grounds that it doesn’t fit their political narrative. In their minds, modern women aren’t supposed to like blustry, confrontational males… particularly ones who don’t support their “reproductive rights.” It flies in the face of everything they believe. Women shouldn’t need/want/like/accept “strength” from a man!
For that very reason, folks, these results fill the hearts of liberal social engineers with utter dread. Western culture, long-ago hijacked by liberal feminists who run our schools and media institutions, routinely messages to women a preference for soft-spoken guys in the mold of Clinton or Obama. You know the type: smooth-talking dudes who use indefinite, less abrasive, wishy-washy language with a twinkle in their eyes but ultimately end up pursuing legislation that is antithetical to their families’ best interests.
So the real problem with this poll? Women aren’t as dumb as the liberal establishment wishes they were! And if Chris Christie can communicate conservative ideals to blue state women, then where can’t liberalism be defeated if Republicans have the courage to fight?
