Burry Backs Cullari in NJ-6

New Jersey’s only competitive federal GOP primary featured an endorsement today, Save Jerseyans.

Monmouth County Freeholder Lillian Burry (R-Colts Neck Township) formally backed businessman Ernesto Cullari (R-Asbury Park) in his the NJ-6 Republican primary.

“Ernesto Cullari, albeit new to the political arena, has a sensitivity for what people want from their government. He has a congenial demeanor. Ernesto’s medical background makes him eminently qualified to tackle Obama-Care,” said Burry through a press release issued by the Cullari campaign.

Cullari previously earned the Monmouth GOP organization’s backing over former Monmouth Freeholder Anna Little (R-Highlands). Little has the support of Sam Thompson’s Middlesex County GOP; she also introduced U.S. Senate candidate and Monmouth state Senator Joe Kyrillos at last night’s Romney tea party event in Philadelphia, though Senator Kyrillos and his campaign have adopted a neutral posture towards NJ-6. Both candidates were present (and, incidentally, stood on either side of your Blogger-in-Chief) while Kyrillos spoke at last Saturday morning’s headquarters grand opening in Middletown.
