Wisniewski Proves “Gall” Often More Potent Than “Truth” in Politics

Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D-Middlesex) is ballsy if nothing else, Save Jerseyans.

Need proof? Max Pizarro listened in on yesterday’s media conference call with the Democrat’s State Party Chairman and walked away with plenty.

According to Max, the Wiz did what any good party chief would do – smack around the other party’s presidential candidate. It’s his line of attack that’s contextually absurd in my humble opinion, particularly when he asked reporters “Why won’t he [Romney] release more than one year of his tax returns? Even Governor Christie believes Mitt Romney should release his tax returns.”

That’s awfully tough talk for a man under tremendous public scrutiny for his alleged connections to PACs which may be skirting pay-to-play laws in Middlesex County. Don’t you think?

Save Jersey has covered a lot of world-class jerks since we went wheels up in May 2008. The Wiz still never ceases to amaze me! He’s a remarkable specimen of everything that’s wrong with New Jersey politics, and he remains very much a prime example of the reasons WHY your Blogger-in-Chief felt compelled to launch this website.

Wiz earned this dubious distinction by being possibly the most massive hypocrite at either end of the Turnpike, Save Jerseyans. He’s a little too comfortable talking out both sides of his mouth. Disturbingly so. After all, this is the same guy who called on ‘Reform Jersey Now’ to disclose its donors, specifically demanding that “Reform Jersey Now to release all of its donors now, not eventually” back in 2010.

I suppose it’s our turn to demand transparency “now, not eventually” from the Wiz concerning his reported ties to shadowy Middlesex PACs?

But we can demand answers until we’re blue in the face. Short of a court order, Wisniewski knows “gall” is often much more potent than the “truth” in politics. Repetition often takes the place of honest, open and substantive discourse. He’s counting on reporters and voters to look past his hypocrisies, focus on the sound bites and, having done so, permit him to operate with impunity.

The good news? Ultimately it’s not up to him, Save Jerseyans. Or at least it shouldn’t be. YOU have to decide whether gall supplants the truth in Middlesex and the other 21 counties. Don’t abdicate this sacred responsibility! Your liberty and prosperity depend on it.
