Christie Gives Bullying Advice, Signs Kid’s Excuse Note For School

In the wake of the Cherry Hill Teacher-Bullying events from last week, people generally seem to have questions on how the new bullying laws come into play in that situation. One student at Governor Christie’s town hall meeting in Garfield, NJ today brought this question directly to the Governor himself.

The kid, Peter Schwartz, wanted to know what he should do if someone of authority was bullying him. Check out the video below to hear the Governor’s response as both a father and a Governor. Peter then lets Christie know that he needs a note to get him out of school, and the Governor flips over a sign and writes.

Please excuse Peter from school today. He was with me.

-Chris Christie

A great moment to finish out an otherwise serious question.
