Way back in May of this year, Save Jerseyans, the New Jersey Legislature passed A1998/S1322. Known as the “Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative” (RGGI), this legislation would’ve committed New Jersey to a regional Cap & Trade program.
Governor Christie previously pulled us out; the Dems wanted us back in (naturally). The result of doing so would have been much, much higher electricity bills than our residents are already paying, and the Governor had until today to pass judgment on the legislation.
Well, the verdict is in:
