David Letterman’s “Late Show” is running a preview of tonight’s hyped Chris Christie appearance on YouTube.
I predicted Chris Christie would use comedy to diffuse Letterman’s many fat jokes over the past few years; sure enough, in the middle of a relatively-serious question, this clip shows New Jersey’s Governor casually removing a donut from his pocket and chowing down:

Who cares. It’s funny stuff! And smart politics… if the mainstream media is going to use Christie’s weight against him in a hypothetical 2016 general election, then there’s no time like the present to blunt their weapon of choice!
