Keans Unloads on Sweeney as Senate Cold War Continues to Turn Hot

The détente/pseudo-alliance between the Christie GOP and South Jersey Democrats has allowed the incumbent Governor to successfully divide-and-conquer his political adversaries over the past four years. It’s also paved the way for some major policy successes including pension/benefits reforms and a 2.0% property tax cap.
What is hasn’t accomplished, Save Jerseyans, is changing politics!
Republicans and Democrats still believe fundamentally different things, raise money from (mostly) different groups, and always run for public office in different ballot columns; at some point, conflict is inevitable. That reality is most clearly demonstrated by the increasingly incendiary rhetoric in New Jersey’s State Senate, a situation catalyzed by Senate President Steve Sweeney’s childish decision to exact political revenge by pulling GOP bills from the floor agenda.
GOP Leader Tom Kean, Jr. isn’t backing down from his decision to challenge Sweeney directly by supporting Niki Trunk in LD3; he’s also proving more than willing to verbally throw down with his partisan adversary… just with much less swearing:
