Striking a populist tone, Steve Lonegan sought to capitalize on Cory Booker’s Waywire woes this week by accusing the Newark Mayor of being “in the pocket” of Silicon Valley interests when he could’ve started a new business in his own suffering city:

Booker’s company (much like his adopted city) has struggled to get off the ground under his leadership. So let’s promote him to federal office. Right?
