Chris Christie may have no interest in a beer summit with Rand Paul any time soon, Save Jerseyans, but the Kentucky Senator might share a rubber chicken dinner with Steve Lonegan in the very near future.
Senator Paul told NRO.com on Thursday that he’s likely to help the GOP U.S. Senate nominee in his increasingly contentious fight against Cory Booker.
“We’re considering trying to help him out,” Paul told NRO.
“In all likelihood, we’ll go in and either financially or try to help him through an endorsement or something,” he continued. “He just won the endorsement recently and we’d like to try to help him.”
Governor Chris Christie formally endorsed Lonegan on Tuesday and pledged to make the party’s resources available to him.
