The first NJ-03 TV spot from Crossroad GPS (501(c)(4) nonprofit corporation associated with Karl Rove’s American Crossroads) was tame compared to this bone-crusher of an ad that hit airwaves today from American Action Network, Save Jerseyans, an organization founded by former MN U.S. Senator Norm Coleman, and aimed at burying Aimee Belgard (D-Central Jersey) in her losing battle with Republican Tom MacArthur.
“Judgment” draws on images of a troubled Obama era world and focuses on Belgard’s time on Edgewater Park Township Committee (prior to joining the Burlington County freeholder board in 2012) when she voted to lay off policemen and hike or bring into being 111 municipal fees.
The independent expenditure group plans to spend $670,000 NJ-03 between this ad and a 15-second version of “Judgment” (the full TV version is below the fold):
