N.J. concealed carry petition count surpasses 15,000 signatures

MinutemanNew Jersey gun owners are proposing their own solution as fears of ISIS attacks on the U.S. homeland grow: let us defend ourselves.

An online petition asking Governor Chris Christie to enact concealed carry in New Jersey has surpassed 15,000 digital signatures.

“The terrorists in Paris yesterday executed innocent civilians, and not one person fired back,” explained Christopher Boyle of Bayville, New Jersey, who launched the petition, on the Change.org page one day after the Paris terror attacks. “They have no right to keep and bear arms in France, like our 2nd Amendment here in the USA. No law abiding citizen was able to step up to stop the violence.”

Petitioners may run into obstacles beyond the newly-reinforced Democrat legislative majority. Governor Christie openly opposed national reciprocity for concealed carry permits back in 2011, citing federalism concerns, though he’s moved to the right in recent months and pardoned victims of his state’s absurd and unconstitutional Graves Act.

  1. Amen. And if “Ifs and Buts” were candy and nuts, every day would be frickin’ Christmas. You can wish in one and and shit in the other…see which hand gets filled first.

  2. If any of those poor people in the video of Paris diving behind the bar had a weapon they could’ve protected themselves and possibly stopped the Not jobs. Instead of laying There with there hands over their heads hoping somebody else would.

  3. Joseph Rudy Rullo ironically is the only republican I have ever heard of for right to carry in NJ. Yet when he ran for US Senate Save Jersey Matt Ronney ignored Mr Rullo’s candidacy against establshment candidate Joe Kyrillos. He claims to be a conservative but he is covering wether liberal Jersey City Mayor Fullop is going to run not. Meanwhile Mr. Rullo announced he is running for Governor making state press except convervative Save Jersey publication.
