The holidays haven’t brought former best friends Chris Christie and Joe Kyrillos back together, Save Jerseyans.
Several months after Kyrillos, the state senator who was introduced to his wife by Christie, formally defected to the Jeb Bush presidential camp, both he and Christie will host dueling high-dollar fundraisers tonight in affluent Saddle River, New Jersey, just blocks away from one another.
According to NorthJersey.com, Christie’s event hosted by the Saddle River Republican Club will take place at the imposingly-large home of the late Francis Walsh, Jr., a trucking magnate who pleaded guilty to a racketeering charge involving the Genovese crime family 25-years ago. Christie’s NJ GOP Chairman, Sam Raia, is the outgoing mayor of Saddle River.
Jeb’s event is hosted by none other than the top dog of Christie’s AFC team, Jets team owner Woody Johnson, as well as veteran GOP fundraiser Gail Gordon and Kyrillos.
Tis the season to raise cash in N.J. Just 24-hours later, Ted Cruz will be an hour away down the Garden State Parkway kicking off his Garden State campaign in Rahway.
