One paragraph in this post-San Bernardino attack CNN report says it all, Save Jerseyans, dropped one day after Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik murdered 14 people and injured many others:
It appears that Farook was radicalized, which contributed to his motive, though other things — like workplace grievances — may have also played a role, other law enforcement sources said.”
Contributed? Played a role? Really??
I wonder if CNN have been as cautious in its phrasing had the suspected perpetrator been a gun-toting, NASCAR-obsessed, Jesus-worshiping NRA member?
Of course not. They’ve made up their minds already so, when evil strikes, they regurgitate pre-formed opinions. Some members of the media, including this mouth-breather over the Daily Kos, even decided to profile the killers before we even knew who they were….
And he wasn’t alone:
These are the times we live in. Adherents to the radical religious sect of “political correctness” value their preconceived notions more than facts, truth, and the security of our republic.
It all starts with a glaring lack of leadership. At least France’s president talked about military action after Paris. Once again, on this side of the Atlantic, our media’s wayward creation President Barack Obama took to the airwaves to blame guns with a suspected gunman still lose and bodies still at the attack scene. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before he blames “workplace violence” or even global warming, too, like his pal Bernie.
“We have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country,” opined Obama, who has established a pattern of his own: passing judgment without knowing all of the facts first.
One of those under-discussed facts? ISIS, which produces and inspires home-grown radical killers like Farook and the Paris terrorists, was deliberately allowed to metastasize by the Obama Administration in order to protect its 2012 campaign narrative. That’s confirmed by Obama’s former intel chief, not Matt Rooney or Rush Limbaugh. Now even The New York Times is running editorials demanding that Obama do what he should’ve done years ago… protect the homeland. Yet all we hear is silence or goofy accusations aimed at his political opponents.
Farook had recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and “A man who has been working in the area said he noticed a half-dozen Middle Eastern men in the area in recent weeks, but decided not to report anything since he did not wish to racially profile those people.” On a climate change fact-finding mission, no doubt! So I’m sorry to upset your apple cart, CNN, but it doesn’t sound like violent video games, violate safe spaces, or weak gun controls (which California most certainly doesn’t have) have anything to do with this one.
“But Matt! Even if you’re right about Obama’s role in allowing a terror threat to grow in our backyards, as well as the Left living in denial over the whole thing, wouldn’t gun control still help?”
Take the guns but keep the radicals?
Grow up. We’re dealing with smart, sophisticated, evil people. Bad people aren’t bound by legal mores and social conventions. 1,196 Americans were killed with blunt objects in 2012, or roughly 3-times the death toll from 2015 mass shootings including Wednesday’s attack. In China last fall, were gun control (and everything control) is omnipresent, separatists killed 29 and injured 130 at a train station. Don’t indict the Second Amendment with bad info (like New Jersey’s Loretta Weinberg is fond of doing) or demonstrate your ignorance by proposing laws that are already on the books (a Cory Booker favorite).
To review: Barack Obama lied about ISIS, and ignored it, to get reelected. Now they’re here, in America, killing us BUT he’s blaming… the people who didn’t vote for him?
Our President should apologize but he won’t. Again, he’s more concerned with defeating imperialists and conservatives than stopping terrorists. His appointments say as much as his own actions and omissions. “There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that,” Obama’s Secretary of State John Kerry recently remarked while reflecting on terrorism in France. “There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of – not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, okay, they’re really angry because of this and that.”
Their non-elected ideological kin in the media are just as loony or straight-up in denial. See above. We’re at war and they’re fretting over non-existent loopholes and imagined microaggressions.
The lead terrorist’s name, one more time: “Syed Farook.” Not the NRA, global warming, a video game, YouTube short or Roman Catholic nun.
Evil will always find a way. Good better be ready.
It’s time for Republicans to grow a pair, stop tweeting about prayer and start aggressively pushing back, with ideas to empower our populace including nationwide concealed carry reciprocity, before the Left’s lunacy kills us all.
