The Ted Cruz campaign’s decision to deploy his wife, Heidi Cruz, in Wisconsin instead of New Jersey this week (first reported here) makes sense independent of the hotly contested upper Midwest contest, Save Jerseyans, but anyone who thinks the change doesn’t have SOMETHING to do with The National Enquirer‘s explosive allegations of extra-marital affairs is fooling himself.
I’m not saying it’s true; I am saying that the Cruz folks think it’s hurting him (or has the potential to hurt him).
