Just like the last time around, Save Jerseyans, a gaggle of Republicans voted to support a gas tax hike, helping the measure pass the lower chamber 44-27 earlier Friday.
And just like last time, the chamber’s most vulnerable swing state Democrats voted NAY.
They include Bob Andrzejczak (D-1), Joann Downey (D-11), Eric Houghtaling (D-11), Bruce Land (D-1), Vince Mazzeo (D-2), John Wisniewski (D-19), and Andrew Zwicker (D-16). All of these Dems came to office with Republican votes in “red” districts. They SHOULD be vulnerable, under normal circumstances, in next year’s state-wide cycle.
Anyone want to tell me what the N.J. GOP plans to say about them next year? Assuming we’re still interested in pick up seats?
When they’re on the ballot?
After our governor and a healthy-sized minority of our legislators helped pass a gas tax?
Excuse me while I go puke….
Our friends at NJ 101.5 have a full Assembly roll call here.
