N.J. Senator calls on Dems to return record cash haul after Baldwin defends Griffin

He may be waiting awhile for them to act on it, Save Jerseyans, but New Jersey State Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-26) thinks Democrats should feel some guilt over money raised with the help of tasteless behavior.

“I am calling for the distancing of any candidate in any district from accepting money from this tainted PAC. I am very disappointed in both of these Hollywood-has-beens, but I would be equally as disappointed in anyone who would share in the fruits of their nefarious labor,” Pennacchio said in a Primary Eve statement.

He’s referring to an even held last week by the Democrat-affiliated General Majority PAC which raised over $5 million last week in South Jersey with the help of special guest headliner Alec Baldwin.

One day after the fundraiser, Baldwin took to Twitter and defended Kathy Griffin’s disgusting social media stunt:

“Kathy…f**k them. F**k them all. No 1 believes u meant 2 threaten Trump. Trump is such a senile idiot, all he has is Twitter fights,” the veteran actor declared during his rant. “Ignore him. Like all the leaders of the other countries in the world. Ignore him.”

“These are professional attention seekers grasping for relevancy with radical stunts and statements. This time they went too far with that hateful and insightful photo. Rather than mocking the President with an ISIS symbol of a beheading, they should work with elected representatives to put an end to this nonsense once and for all,” opined Pennacchio. “Hollywood elites like Baldwin and Griffin are poisoning the American spirit. Somewhere along the lines they stopped saying Trump would fail and started wishing that he would. We need to get back to a place in this country where we put people before party politics.”

The General Majority PAC can claim most of the credit for Republican legislative losses in LD1, LD11 and LD16 in 2015.
