President Donald Trump hasn’t done much fundraising for House candidates.
On June 11th, he’ll host a fundraiser for Rep. Tom MacArthur (R, NJ-03) at the President’s Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. Requested donations start at $5,400 per couple according to the invitation obtained by Save Jersey.
MacArthur has been one of the AHCA’s most dogged advocates and supporters, a fact that has earned him significant influence with the Trump White House but that has also resulted in targeted attacks by outside Leftist groups…
A few other interesting items of note:
1- Trump did headline an NRCC dinner this year which broke all prior fundraising records for the event; MacArthur can expect a big haul.
2- Consequently, T-Mac will likely raise in one day as much (or more) than any of his opponents will be able to do by 2018 (or even this time next year).
3- Bedminster is located inside the district of another N.J. GOP House member – Leonard Lance (R, NJ-07) who opposed the Trump-backed AHCA.
