Murphy supports the NFL’s unpatriotic kneeling contingent

Not that it’s much of a surprise, Save Jerseyans.

“You can both be a patriot and also say, ‘you know what, I have the right to speak my own mind.’ So I give them a lot of credit,” N.J. Democrat gubernatorial nominee Phil Murphy (D-Goldman Sachs) said on Monday according to The Observer, coming down decidedly on the side of NFL player protesters. “They did it in different ways and in some cases whole teams did things, and in other cases individuals did them. And it looked to me like they’re all in it together. It looked to me like ownership and players and coaches all got a little bit closer together as a result of this, so maybe some good things can happen from that.”

Murphy also criticized Trump for being divisive notwithstanding the fact that Murphy has repeatedly compared Trump and his supporters to the Nazis.

Republican rival Kim Guadagno took the opposite position this week, declaring via social media that kneeling during the national anthem remained a no-brainer.

The latest public polling suggests an upwards of 1/3 of registered New Jersey voters remain undecided in the race between Murphy and Guadagno.
