Jeb! puts money network to work for Guadagno in NYC

Bush built up a massive $130 million war chest for his failed 2016 presidential campaign only to be soundly defeated by Donald Trump’s populist wave.

The end result? The successful former Florida governor’s messaging-related advice isn’t highly sought after these days but his rolodex of donors remains highly coveted and unmatched in Republican circles.

This week’s beneficiary was Kim Guadagno and her running mate, Carlos Rendo, who gathered with Bush and donors for a swanky, high dollar New York City fundraiser on Wednesday afternoon. Today’s event for the New Jersey GOP gubernatorial ticket was originally scheduled for September but ended up being postponed due to Hurricane Irma.

Guadagno trails her 2017 Democrat/Goldman Sachs opponent, Phil Murphy, by a 3-to-1 margin in the fundraising department despite some indication that polls may be tightening.
