New Jersey’s illegal immigrant-related tab is now America’s 5th highest

In this Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, photo released by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement shows foreign nationals being arrested this week during a targeted enforcement operation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) aimed at immigration fugitives, re-entrants and at-large criminal aliens in Los Angeles. Immigrant advocates on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, decried a series of arrests that federal deportation agents said aimed to round up criminals in Southern California but they believe mark a shift in enforcement under the Trump administration. We spent some time guessing what Governor-elect Phil Murphy’s Sanctuary State plan would cost New Jersey before November’s election, Save Jerseyans. The only certainty is that it’d be a lot.

This week we have new information as to what illegal immigration ALREADY costs the great Garden State courtesy of HowMuch.net (the data is from The Federation for American Immigration Reform or “FAIR”):

The answer is ALMOST $4.5 billion every year, the 5th most expensive illegal immigration tab out of all 50 states:

1. California – $23,038,125,353

2. Texas – $10,994,614,550

3. New York – $7,489,141,357

4. Florida – $6,290,429,108

5. New Jersey – $4,466,838,574

6. Illinois – $3,220,767,517

7. Georgia – $2,487,719,503

8. North Carolina – $2,437,965,113

9. Maryland – $2,378,996,947

10.   Arizona – $2,314,131,964

That’s a LOT of pension payments and/or property tax rebate checks, Save Jerseyans. Just saying….
