Cory Booker (D-Twitter) is flipping with more speed and skill these days than an under-aged Chinese gymnast, Save Jerseyans, and that’s NOT intended as a compliment.
The corporate tax cut he was ‘for’ before he was opposed is only the tip of the iceberg.
The latest? For those of you keeping score?
New Jersey’s junior senator interviewed with The Weekly Standard this week and complained that, in his opinion, the fate of Israel’s capital and U.S. embassy should be ‘part of a larger peace process.’ “It should be part of negotiations for eventual final status,” Booker insisted. ‘We need to be working towards peace in that region.”
That’s a diametrically different opinion from the one he rendered back at the 2012 Democratic National Convention when Booker said recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was a “sacrosanct” issue for the United States, adding, “[w]e have a unanimity in view of that in American politics in our Congress.” Remember that Booker was co-chairman of the platform committee; he was reportedly instramental in reinstating “Jerusalem Is And Will Remain The Capital Of Israel” in the party platform after an internal Democrat controversy over the provision.
Every U.S. President, including Clinton, Dubya AND Obama, all supported recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s undivided capital.
Senator Booker wants to be President, but the Democrat Party he’s trying to win over isn’t the one that nominated Bill Clinton in 1992 or even Obama in ’08; it’s the one that booed Israel in 2012.
Can’t wait to see how he violently contorts himself tomorrow in pursuit of their affections. It’s amusing and gross in equal measure.
