Man indicted for Jersey City murder, sexual assault and kidnapping (after being deported twice)

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – 33-year old Jorge Rios allegedly kidnapped, sexually assaulted and murdered 45-year-old Carolina Cano before discarding the victim in a Lincoln Park (Jersey City) lake.

On Wednesday, Rios was indicted on murder, aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping charges. The kicker? Rios had reportedly previously been deported from the United States. Twice.

An illegal alien from Honduras, authorities kicked Rios out of the U.S. in 2003 and 2004.

Under Democrat Governor Phil Murphy, New Jersey is a ‘Sanctuary State’ wherein local and state authorities are barred from assisting federal officials in enforcing immigration laws.

ICE has operated in New Jersey all the same, launching multiple large-scale round-ups of illegal aliens accused (and/or previously convicted) of serious crimes.
