Trump launches 2020 campaign, tells supporters “nobody has done what we have done”

ORLANDO, F.L. – Exactly four years and two days after he descended a Trump Tower escalator and upended the political universe, Donald Trump addressed thousands of supporters in Orlando on Tuesday night to formally launch his 2020 presidential campaign.

“Our patriotic movement have been under assault from the first day,” Trump warned his throngs of supporters. “We’ve accomplished more than any president has in the first two and half years and under circumstances that no president has had to deal with before; nobody has done what we have done.”

As ever, the Russia/impeachment story line dominated the President’s attack.

“We went through the greatest witch hunt in political history, the only collusion was committed by the Democrats, the fake news media and their operatives and the people who funded the phony dossier, crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC,” said Trump. “It was all an illegal attempt to overturn the results of the election, spy on our campaign, which is what they did, and subvert our democracy.”

Florida is a must-win state for the Republican incumbent in the race to secure 270 electoral votes. He carried the state in 2016 powered by strong support from senior citizens and military voters. Hours before his rally began, Quinnipiac University released new polling showing Trump trailing most major Democrat contenders in the Sunshine State
