Assemblyman Auth endorses Meissner in GOP U.S. Senate primary

TRENTON, N.J. – Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Stuart Meissner has the backing of Assemblyman Bob Auth (R-39),

“Stuart Meissner is the best choice to defeat Cory Booker,” Auth said in a statement released by the Meissner campaign on Friday. “To win in New Jersey, you need to be tough. Stuart’s background taking on the Goliaths of Wall Street shows me that he’s unafraid to stand up to the special interests of this state on behalf of New Jersey’s working families. With Stuart, we will fight back against the corruption and the greed that permeates Washington—and we will win.”

Meissner is a well-known whistleblower attorney.

Auth’s endorsement is the first legislative endorsement in the 2020 Republican contest for the right to challenge Cory Booker.

Four other candidates are currently in the race: Hirsh Singh, Tricia Flanagan, Natalie Lynn Rivera, and most recently Pharmacist and attorney Rik Mehta. There isn’t a clear frontrunner or current elected official in the field.
