The Roe bombshell isn’t saving Biden or his party

The Democrat political class could barely mask its relief when news broke of Justice Alito’s draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.

They love abortion, sure, but they love winning even more, and they assumed (foolishly) that an end to “abortion rights” as we know them in half the country would arrest GOP midterm momentum.

It hasn’t.

On Wednesday, Quinnipiac released new survey results finding Joe Biden’s job approval rating among registered voters at negative 17 (38% approve vs. 55% disapprove). That’s a highly significant deterioration of his position from the April 27th poll when he was at 40% approve and 51% disapprove.

The poll was conducted between May 12th and 16th, approximately two weeks after the Politico bombshell leak.

Biden’s problems aren’t isolated; the congressional generic ballot went from +3 to +4 Republican over the same span of time. Keep in mind: the SAME poll found Americans strongly supportive of maintaining at least some “abortion rights.”

Predicting who will show up to vote in November is difficult enough to do a few weeks out let alone several months from Election Day, Save Jerseyans. What seems fairly clear as of today:

Abortion isn’t motivating enough Democrat voters to overcome the avalanche of discontent over failing economic conditions and the other many disasters of the Biden era.
