Legislators are generally judged based upon two criteria:
(1) How they vote and (2) the quality of their constituent services.
Democrat incumbent Tom Malinowski was found wanting by one NJ-07 constitutent during a telephone town hall last Thursday. A constituent named “Josh” (listen below) expresses exasperation with Malinowski’s office for failing to help him and return his texts…
Constituent: “Curious to know what your office is doing to fight for New Jersey? Because right now I’m drowning. And I’ve been drowning for 11 months, and I just want to stop. So, I just need some help and I’m hoping you can help.”
Malinowski: “Hey Josh, I do remember. Can I just ask you: have you been in touch with our office on your specific situation recently?”
Constituent: “No, not recently. To be completely honest, you had assigned someone to me, and I was texting with them, and then the last seven, eight texts I sent there was never a response, so I just gave up.”
