Bob Menendez could be on the brink of a second lifetime federal indictment, Save Jerseyans, but his former colleague Joe Biden really wants to talk to him about Cuba.
“Bob, I gotta talk to you about Cuba,” Biden told New Jersey’s senior senator while making his post-State of the Union rounds on Tuesday night.
“Okay,” replied a clearly caught-off-guard Menendez.
“I’m serious,” Biden added with his characteristic vacant grin.
Menendez chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and he’s departed with Biden in recent months over the Administration’s plans to ease sanctions on Cuba and Venezuela.
