New Jersey Governor Will Be Dave Letterman’s Guest On ‘Late Show’ Tonight, February 4th

There’s been a lot of Chris Christie fat jokes over the past four years, Save Jerseyans, and few public figures have delivered them with the same relish (and at the same frequency) as late night legend David Letterman.
Christie’s generally taken those jokes in stride. Back in October 2011, he told reporters “I think, for me, their job is to be funny, and if one of the things they want to make fun of is my weight, then, you know, it’s fair game. I’m a public figure, so they can make fun of it. All I care about is that they actually are funny, you know, so that I can at least laugh about it while they’re mocking me.”
Graciousness is a virtue for elected officials. But tonight, folks, the New Jersey Governor has his chance to get even. Expect some zingers headed in the other direction!
Chris Christie is David Letterman’s star guest on tonight’s edition of “The Late Show with David Letterman” airing at 11:35 p.m. on CBS-3 (Philadelphia Market) and CBS-2 (New York Market).
I’m sure it will be Letterman’s best-rated show in awhile; you have to appreciate the irony of a notoriously nasty liberal talkshow host getting a hand from a Republican governor! Ratings concerns aside, this certainly isn’t one episode you’re going to want to miss…
