Nutley Township Commissioner Steven L. Rogers, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era and a regular guest on the Fox Business Network, has been publicly teasing a run for New Jersey Governor in recent weeks.

On Wednesday night, the Republican Trump enthusiast made it official.

“I’m officially announcing my candidacy for governor of the state of New Jersey,” said Rogers, who went on to advocate for a more inclusive GOP.

The candidate plans to lay out his initial platform at the Madison Hotel in Morristown at Noon on Thursday.

Watch:

Rogers is part of a growing field of potential challengers next June including Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Assembly GOP Leader Jon Bramnick, Evesham Mayor Randy Brown, veteran SNL comedian Joe Piscopo, and social media activist Joe Rullo.
