Greenwald a No-Show at LD6 Candidate Forum

Lou Greenwald is no stranger to make talking. He talks, and talks, and talks, and talks. Seriously. Have you ever sat through one of his budget committee hearings? I have. It is painful. After anyone speaks, Greenwald always has to make some sort of grand soliloquy on how he felt about it. Most of the time, no one cares. There was that one time he complained about his own property taxes being too high, and then he remembered that it was probably his own fault.

Anyway, I’ve digressed. Greenwald loves to talk, and last night he had an opportunity to talk on a stage, both directly to the voters and with his peers on the issues that matter to the 6th District of New Jersey. But for some reason, Lou did not feel like talking.

At the 5th & 6th District Assembly Candidates Forum at Rutgers University – Camden, there was an empty chair placed where Assemblyman Greenwald was supposed to be seated. Even his running mate, Assemblywoman Lampitt, was gracious enough to make an appearance.

I am beginning to think that Assemblyman Greenwald simply does not like too many voters congregated in one place at one time. If you remember, just a few weeks ago he forced a school superintendent to cancel a town hall meeting on school funding because it was too close to an election. Now he won’t even show up to let a room of voters know how great he thinks he is at his job. Hopefully Democrats in LD6 will forget to show up at the polls to vote for Lou.
