Dear Fellow Republicans,
As you may know, the Monmouth County Republican Committee Reorganization will take place on June 12, 2012 at the Colts Neck High School at 7pm. I am formally announcing my candidacy for County Chair so that we can continue the recent success of the Monmouth County Republican Party.
In recent years, we regained control of the Board of Chosen Freeholders and ensured the re-election of Sheriff Shaun Golden and Surrogate Rosemarie Peters by wide margins. In 2009, we helped deliver one of the largest margins of victory ever out of Monmouth County to elect Governor Chris Christie and Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno. As countywide coordinator for those campaigns, I worked side-by-side with you to achieve those victories.
As County Chair, I will continue the progress we have made and I will build on our successes. I know that this is not possible without your dedicated support, and a Chair is only as strong as those who continually support the Party. While I will continue to advance the use of technologically assisted campaign strategies, I will never lose sight of the dedicated grassroots volunteers who deliver us to victory year after year.
I have the experience needed to carry us forward. I am currently the Republican State Committeewoman for Monmouth County and Municipal Chair for the Township of Ocean. I have been a practicing attorney specializing in litigation for more than two decades, having started my career as a white-collar crime prosecutor for the Bronx District Attorney. Since 2008, I have worked alongside Chairman Joe Oxley, our county and local elected officials, and volunteers to bring about the success we have enjoyed. I served as the Monmouth County Coordinator for the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008 and the Christie-Guadagno campaign in 2009. Through my work on those campaigns, I became intimately familiar with and fully engaged in the inner workings and administration of our county Republican organization.
I have worked hard to develop a strong grassroots network throughout the county, to increase communication from the organization, to increase volunteer participation, and to implement the use of technology and social media to advance voter outreach. For the past three years, I have assisted Chairman Oxley with the coordination of our county campaigns. I have worked with him to develop campaign plans, including strategy and voter outreach. I help to oversee our county wide vote by mail program. And, I have helped coordinate four Monmouth County Republican Victory Galas, and many other fundraising events, which raised in excess of $500,000 for the organization and our candidates, notwithstanding restrictive pay to play regulations.
This year’s election will be critical to moving our nation back in the right direction and ensuring that Monmouth County continues the success we have enjoyed in recent years. We must ensure the reelection of Freeholder Director John Curley, Freeholder Serena DiMaso, and County Clerk M. Claire French. We must elect a new President and elect Monmouth County’s own Joe Kyrillos to the U.S. Senate. We must not go backward, but continue the progress we have made over the past four years. We have many challenges ahead, but I know that working together, we will ensure another victory for Republicans in November!
No one will outwork me. No one will fight harder to make sure our candidates and our party have the resources we need to win. I will continue to improve communications with county committee, continue to build upon our grassroots network, improve our voter outreach through technology, social media and advanced campaign strategies. I have done it over the past four years and I understand what is needed to win elections in modern times.
Monmouth Republicans have a clear choice. We can move backward or we can move forward. While we must honor our past, we must continue to move forward without the weight of past issues that can distract us from our mission. This is our time. Monmouth Republicans led Governor Christie to a historic victory for our Party. As your Chair, I will lead our party to continued success and spread that success through every level of government. Republican ideas work. Smaller government, lower taxes, conservative values — these ideas matter. I will be a Chair who seeks input from every member of our party and fights to win races, not to build personal political capital. If you elect me as your Chair, I will work my hardest with you and for you to ensure continued success for our Party in 2012 and beyond.
As a former prosecutor for the Bronx District Attorney, I share our Governor’s dedication to efficient, ethical and transparent government. I believe that we must never abuse the public trust, and that Republican leadership should set the standard. We must continue moving in the right direction in Monmouth County. I humbly ask for your support for the position of County Chair. With your support, I pledge to build on the great success of our past and continue that progress into the future!
