Governor Chris Christie isn’t interested in having a budget debate this year, Save Jerseyans.
“I used the line item veto the last two years in non-negotiated budgets… [t]his year they chose to negotiate with me,” Christie told reporters during a press availability at Burlington County Community College on Tuesday afternoon.
New Jersey’s governor possesses many powers that presidents and other states’ governors can only envy; in this case, Governor Christie could use his “line-item veto” to strip waste out of the $33 billion FY 2014 state budget that passed both houses of the legislature yesterday.
Here’s hoping he reconsiders the politics of this decision. The FY 2014 budget is an affront to taxpayers and legislative Republicans should’ve run away from it screaming. You can’t ask voters to turn over the keys of the State House to a new party when the challenging party’s leadership is unwilling (or unable) to provide a clear contrast to the status quo. I’m trying to think of the team here…

Check out the crooks trying to save us from the crooks! Hahaha! Republicans don't care about what's left of the working class.
