New Jersey’s legislative picture is complex in 2013, Save Jerseyans.
Those Senate Democrats not aligned with the Christicrat faction (headed by Norcross/DiVincenzo/Stack) are coming under heavy assault from the NJ GOP’s ample war chest; Dick Codey (D-27) and Bob Gordon (D-38) are at the top of the list.
Democrats closely aligned with one of the aforementioned bosses’ respective machines, including Jeff Van Drew (D-1), Jim Whelan (D-2), Steve Sweeney (D-3) and Linda Greenstein (D-14), are missing the brunt of the Governor’s campaign steamroller (and in some case are getting a pass altogether) while simultaneously enjoying ample third-party support from an outside mega-PAC.
It’s unprecedented. It’s aggravating. It should also make for a very interesting Election Night.
