A 23% favorability rating mean you’re down to family, close friends, and paid staffers, Save Jerseyans. It’s a sucky place to be.
But that’s where the indicted Bob Menendez sits according to the results of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s latest PublicMind poll released Thursday morning.
He’s always been polarizing. “Unfortunately for him,” opined Krista Jenkins, director of FDU’s PublicMind, “the allegations against Senator Menendez are weakening opinions that were already divided. It doesn’t help that this seems to be one news story about politics that many are following closely and can identify what’s behind the allegations.”
58% think he’s likely guilty, and despite the whole “Obama is persecuting me angle, 73% of Republicans don’t believe him. Click here to read the results.
This poll doesn’t appear to be an aberration either: two weeks ago, Quinnipiac reported that 52% of respondents wanted him to resign.
