Former Middletown Township deputy mayor and Monmouth County Freeholder Amy Handlin won’t seek reelection to her LD13 Assembly seat in 2019, a position she’s held since 2005.
Gerry Scharfenberger and Sue Kiley are running for freeholder this year on the Republican ticket; they’d ordinarily be top contenders, but sources say it’s unlikely (albeit not impossible) that either would turn around and run again for the legislature in next year’s spring primary.
Assuming they don’t… which of the following Republicans do you think is the best choice to replace her?
