The NJEA doesn’t care about kids, parents, or even its own teachers

So in case you missed it on Wednesday, Save Jerseyans, Phil Murphy has announced his Department of Education will “review” the curriculum standards which have dominated New Jersey’ politicial discourse in recent days.

It’s tactical. He and his allies were surprised by the backlash against the highly-sexual standards that came about in large part in the maelstrom of Election 2020 and the fog of a pandemic. They haven’t changed their minds about the importance of teaching 2nd graders about transgenderism and the clitoris; they need to make it look like they’re going about it in a measured way now that voters are paying attention.

The NJEA isn’t elected to anything. Governors come and go, but the powerful teacher’s union which spent millions of dollars to reelect Governor Murphy always remains.

On Wednesday, shortly before Murphy announced the review, the NJEA issued a Harry Potter Ministry of Magic-esque “Disinformation Alert” warning about the information coming from Save Jersey, Bill Spadea, Holly Schepisi, and other who’ve spoken out about this issue in recent days.

Naturally, the cowards didn’t name names:

Unsurprisingly, there’s a lot of misinformation in the NJEA’s misinformation notice including, but not limited to, the “don’t worry, you can just opt out” myth.

That’s the NJEA for you. Rather than throw itself head-on into addressing learning loss caused by arbitrary Covid-19 restrictions (which the union ironically championed), the organization led by Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller continues to wade into issues that are nakedly political and unapologetically far-far-Left. More often than not, they’re dishonest about their true goals. Remember when they issued a statement concerning the Rittenhouse verdict? What did THAT storyline have to do with New Jersey’s education system?

Another NJEA hallmark: a complete disregard for not only the well-being of children and the rights of parents BUT ALSO the concerns of their teachers.

I’ve spoken to countless teachers about these standards over the past week. I’m sure you have, too.

I’ve yet to speak to ONE (outside of the fantasy world that is Twitter) who wants to go to work to teach young students who can’t tie their shoes about very adult topics.

The NJEA is a de facto Democrat super pac. Always has been, always will be.

The NJEA represents no one except for the increasingly bizarre interests of its ambitious and radical leadership circle. The NJEA’s designs are reflected in Murphy’s wacky sex ed standards. Educating children is a means to an ends. The real goal: produce little radicals who share the NJEA’s worldview.

If you didn’t know it before? You know it now after this latest episode.
