LD4: Del Borrello slate wins rough and tumble GOP primary

Former Washington Township Councilman Christopher Del Borrello is poised for a landslide in his Gloucester-Camden-Atlantic district on Tuesday night; he leads Gloucester Commissioner Nick Desilvio by nearly 20 points with almost 70% of anticipated ballots tabulated.

A vicious primary from start to finish, the closing days of the race were dominated by the South Jersey Democrat Machine’s decision to spend $100,000 opposing De Borrello and his slate.

The millennial Republicans will go head-to-head with Democrat Assemblyman Paul Moriarty this November for an open seat (Democrat Fred Madden declined to seek reelection).

Del Borrello’s running mates Matt Walker and Amanda Esposito also appeared on course to win the LD4 Assembly nominations as of 9 pM EST.
