Chalk another one up for the Donald, Save Jerseyans.

Trump carried the Hunterdon County GOP’s convention on Thursday night with 77 votes to Ohio Governor John Kasich‘s 39 votes and Texas Senator Ted Cruz‘s 11 votes.

Trump has now won votes in Atlantic, Bergen, Mercer, Middlesex, and Passaic in addition to tonight’s Hunterdon victory.

U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7) easily secured support for his reelection bid, representing the last leg of a clean sweep of the 7th District’s GOP county organizations.

“I am so humbled and honored to once again receive the endorsements of all the county Republican organizations in my district,” said Lance. “Without the help of these organizations, their chairmen and superb committee members, I and other Republican officials would have a much harder time on the campaign trail. Your help is vital and greatly appreciated by everyone. Thank you again for your continued support.”

Down ballot, John Lanza and Suzanne Lagay got the nod for Freeholder while Mary Melfi will compete for County Clerk and Fred Brown will run for County Sheriff.

  1. Of course Lying Liberal Lenny secured the support of the NJ GOPe – a harbinger of the annihilation he faces at the hands of David Larsen on June 7.
